How to Spend One Sunny Day Outside in Brisbane

With over 300 days of sunshine every year, there’s plenty to do in one sunny day in Brisbane!

With amazing bars, cafes, outdoor parks, and attractions, you’ll wish you had more than one day in Brisbane.

Here’s your one day in Brisbane, sorted.

Head to South Bank for some beach-meet-city vibes. With plenty of eateries piled around the precincts of Brisbane, you won’t be short on places to eat, drink, walk and explore.

A Morning in Brisbane

Southbank

Start at South Bank. There are plenty of places for you to stroll along the river. Munch on some breakfast at one of South Bank’s many cafes, and wander along the promenade with a morning coffee. Visit the Cultural Centre and soak up some history and culture.

Streets Beach

Want a refreshing start to a sunny day?

If you’re feeling a swim, take a dip in the water at Streets Beach. It’s an artificial beach that is set right in the heart of Parklands. Streets Beach is an inner city beach that’s completely manmade – a blue lagoon with fake white sand inside.

Fringed with tropical palms and full of tempting blue water, take a refreshing dip in the pool, for a unique swim with skyscraper views.

Brisbane Wheel

Go for a ride on the Brisbane Wheel and experience the city from new heights, to get a good look at the whole city from above!

Lunchtime

New Farm Park

Visit New Farm Park and take a walk around. New Farm Park offers pretty river views, dotted with cute little cafes and restaurants. Pull up a chair for lunch, or pack a picnic and chill out on the grass for a bite to eat.

It’s the perfect spot for people watching!

There’s also a great play park for kids, so if you’re travelling with little ones, then there’s something to keep them entertained.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

Just because you’re in the city, that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on spotting some native Aussie wildlife!

Check out the cute koalas at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, which is full of some very cute furry koalas. The conservation efforts of this sanctuary help to preserve these koalas.

Evening

Enjoy an evening in Brisbane by circling back to South Bank for some riverside dining and drinks. Or find a rooftop bar that overlooks the rest of the city. Round off your day in Brisbane by enjoying the sunset views with a cocktail or two.
