  • Montville

    Take a scenic drive across the Blackall Ranges and visit the village of Montville. This charming town is set amidst the picturesque hinterlands and is a perfect stop on your way through the bushland. Tuck into some delicious lunch as you marvel at the bushland scenery. Stretch your legs and wander through the boutique shops and galleries aplenty. The Kondalilla National Park features a 90-metre waterfall and is a perfect getaway for those wanting to bask in the crisp air of the mountains. It’s only around a 90-minute drive from the heart of Brisbane making it a great retreat for those wanting to escape the city for a while.

  • Eumundi Markets

    The small, historic town of Eumundi is famous for its incredible Eumundi Markets. Held twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, hail or shine. Bursting with second-hand clothes, locally made jewellery, homemade skin products, as well as organic produce. With fun activities to keep the kids entertained, adults can enjoy sampling some of the delicious goodies on offer. After your time at the market, stay awhile in Eumundi and discover a historic town rich with culture and contemporary arts. Here you can also learn about the towns early development from the 1890s onward and you’ve also got a myriad of dining options to choose from like quaint cafes all the way through to fine dining eateries.

  • Ginger Factory

    It’s no surprise that this is one of the top tourist destinations on the Sunshine Coast. Teaming with theme park rides, tasteful goodies and family appeal, this is a perfect activity for families. It’s the world’s largest operating ginger factory, offering a fascinating experience for all to learn about ginger production against a backdrop of lush tropical gardens. Taste the many types of ginger products on offer including drinks, spreads or delightful sweets. The little ones will love the Ginger Train, a historic tram cart that takes you through the 9 hectares of the property along the tropical rainforest setting. A highlight at the Ginger Factory which is sure to excite is the Overboard ride, a boat ride adventure that takes you on a mission with the Gingerbread man as he tries to escape from chefs who are trying to eat him!

  • Glass House Mountains

    Around an hour from Brisbane, the beautiful peaks of the Glass House Mountains are a vivid dreamland waiting to be explored. They are volcanic plugs within the hinterland said to be around 25 million years old. Hike through the bushland for a picnic within the incredible landscape or enjoy the scenic drive through winding roads, stopping at the many lookouts along the way. Popular with hikers for its magical landscape, the Glass House Mountains offer a range of walking tracks from beginner hikers to experienced ones. If you’re travelling with children, the Tibrogargan circuit is an easy walk around the mountain and takes around 1.5 hours to complete. For a more advanced walk, the Yul-yan-man track offers 3 access areas where you can select from a 7, 9 or 11.4-kilometre return trip.

  • Mount Coolum

    Tackle a bigger mountain at Mount Coolum. Work those muscles and choose from the multiple climbs and walking treks dispersed along the mountain. Your effort will be worth it for the breathtaking view of the stunning coastline and lush hinterland range. With 25 million years oh history under this dormant volcanic mountain, you’ll be jumping for joy once you reach the summit and even more so when you get a look at the view from this high up! After your climb, you’re only a few minutes away from the gorgeous Coolum beach where you can cool off in the sparkling blue waters.
